Lawrence Edwin (Larry) Hicks, Jr. age 66, of North Little Rock, died Friday, August 6, 2010. He was born in Malvern on July 4, 1944 to the late Lawrence Edwin and Luella Cunningham Hicks. Reared and educated in the Big Creek Community and Poyen schools, he was a former branch manager for the Graybar Electric Company in Little Rock , having worked there for 30 years. Larry was a Baptist by denomination.

He is survived by his children, Lawrence E. (Tripp) Hicks, III, of North Little Rock; Rachel and her husband Josh Inmon of Benton; and Michelle and her husband David Carnahan of Bryant; by a brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Sandra Hicks of Big Creek; and by four grandchildren, Taylor Hicks, Blake and Drew Carnahan, and Luke Inmon.

Larry was also preceded in death by a sister, Sarah Hicks Helms.The family will receive friends at J. A. Funk Funeral Home on Thursday evening, August 12, 2010 from five until seven o'clock.

A memorial service will be held at ten o'clock on Friday morning, August 13, in the funeral home chapel with Brother Bob Inmon officiating. A private committal service will follow in the Big Creek Cemetery.
