Lemona Elliott, age 82, of Malvern, passed away January 6, 2025 at her home. She was born on October 3, 1942 to the late Lehman and Audrey Bounds at home in Ravenden Springs, Arkansas. She was reared and received her education in Randolph County where she graduated from Ravenden Springs High School in 1959. Soon after graduation, she moved to Arkadelphia where she attended Ouachita Baptist College and graduated in 1963. She was married to Don Elliott of Malvern in August 1962. Mrs. Elliott was a lifetime educator. She taught Home Economics and Life Science at Magnet Cove High School, Prattsville High School, and Malvern Junior High. In 1982 she went back to school and earned an Elementary Education endorsement and taught for many years at Pratt Elementary School in Malvern. Lemona was saved as a young girl and baptized in Ravenden Springs. She was a longtime member of Third Baptist Church in Malvern, serving as a Sunday School Teacher, Training Union Leader, WMU, and many other activities.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Don Elliott, and her mother and father, Audrey and Lehman Bounds. She is survived by her daughter Ladonna Elliott Daniel (Pat), and her four grandsons: Patrick Daniel, III of Malvern, Elliott Daniel (Hannah) of Hot Springs, Thomas Daniel (Abby) of Benton, and Andrew Daniel of Taos, New Mexico.

A Visitation will be held on Sunday January 12th at 2:00 PM at J. A. Funk Funeral Home Chapel in Malvern followed by a Funeral Service at 3:00 PM. A private grave side service, officiated by Dr. Bob Duncan, will be held for immediate family at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Malvern. Pallbearers are Pat, Patrick, Elliott, and Thomas Daniel; Raymond O'Neal, Jesse Rucker, Brad Braziel, and Britt Wright.
