Linnie Hilton Orr, age 83 of Malvern, died Thursday, April 1, 2010 in St. Joseph's Mercy Health Center in Hot Springs. She was born on November 14, 1926 in Amity, Arkansas to the late Lendon and Ethel Isom Copeland. Reared and educated in Amity, she was an office manager for the Arkansas Department of Health for many years. Mrs. Orr had been a resident of Malvern since 1947. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, where she attended the Alice Brooks Sunday School Class; was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Humane Society.

She is survived by her husband Alva Lee "Al" Orr of Malvern, to whom she was married on September 23, 1991; by one son, George Reid Hilton, Jr. and his partner Mike Hornbeck of Hot Springs; by two stepsons, Alan lee Orr of Gulfport, Mississippi and Andrew Orr of Pineville, Lousiana; by two daughters, Ann Harper and her husband Richard, and Anita Efird and her husband Henry, all of Malvern; by one sister, Anna Mae Sawyer of Monticello; by two grandchildren, Tyson Lee Efird and Buddy Harper; and by two great-grandchildren, Haydan Lee Efird and Kyle Edmond Harper. Mrs. Orr was also preceded in death by her first husband, George Reid Hilton, Sr. Her funeral will be held at three o'clock in the afternoon, Monday, April 5, 2010 in the sanctuary of First United Methodist Church with Reverend LaVon Post officiating. Interment will follow in Lambert Cemetery near Amity. Pallbearers will be: Andrew Orr, Alan Orr, Eldon Sawyer, Jimmy Sawyer, Jerry Strother, and Bob Gilbert. The family will receive friends at J. A.
