Lois Ross Efird, age 63 of Malvern, died Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at her home. She was born on July 19, 1953 in Holly Springs, Arkansas to the late Fred E. Ross and Bernice House Ross. She was a graduate of Malvern High School. For most of her working life, Lois was a caregiver. She worked as a private duty sitter, was a home health aid, and tended to people approaching the end of their life as a hospice aid. Lois was a collector of carnival glass and antiques, and loved going to flea markets and yard sales, looking for "treasures". She was a Methodist.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Ray Efird, to whom she was married on September 5, 1972; by two sons, Michael Efird and Rickey Efird; by a grandson, Cody Efird; and by four great-children, Stormy Efird, Brantley Efird, Luke Efird, and Emma Efird.

Lois was also preceded in death by a son, Donald Ray Efird, Jr.; by two brothers, Marvin Ross and Gerald Ross, and by an infant sister.

A memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday, February 25, 2017 in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home with Brother Scott Efird officiating.
