Lora Evelyn Dalrymple, age 92, of Malvern, died Friday morning, November 9, 2012 in Malvern Nursing and Rehab. She was born on November 26, 1919 in Basile, Louisiana to the late Nixon Alan Nettles and Lora Etta Carter Nettles. Reared and receiving her education in Basile, Cotton Valley, and Rocky Mount, Louisiana, she graduated from Benton (Louisiana) High School in 1937. Mrs. Dalrymple was a homemaker and the widow of the late Horace Gordon Dalrymple, to whom she was married on June 27, 1937 in Bossier Parish, Louisiana. He preceded her in death on September 11, 1980. A long time resident of Magnolia, Arkansas, she had lived in Malvern since 1995. She was a member of Magnolia's Central Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, Kenneth Alan Dalrymple and his wife, Ann of Barateria, Louisiana; a daughter, Johnette Parham of Malvern, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Heather Dalrymple, Michael Pfeffer, and Jon Parham; and her great-grandchildren, Lucas and Allison Parham; and by her family of friends and caregivers at Malvern Nursing and Rehab.

Mrs. Dalrymple was also preceded in death by a son, Nixon Gordon Dalrymple; three brothers, Carlton Nettles, Kenneth Nettles, and Nixon Nettles, Jr.; and her son-in-law, Charles Parham.

Graveside services will be Friday morning, November 16, 2012, at eleven o'clock in Memorial Park Cemetery, Magnolia, Arkansas, under the direction of J. A. Funk Funeral Home of Malvern.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital or to the charity of one's choice.
