Lorene (Loraine) Wilson, age 68 of Bismarck, died Monday, April 13, 2009 in Arkadelphia. She was born on November 23, 1940 in El Dorado, Arkansas to the late Frank and Emma Dean Finley House. Reared and educated in El Dorado and Old Union, she was the wife of Buddy Wilson, to whom she was married on November 16, 1958 at the Immanuel Baptist Church in El Dorado. Mrs. Wilson was a loving wife, doting mother, homemaker, sports mom, animal and flower lover, was a talented seamstress, and had managed a Boutique. She was also a passionate collector of owls, glass chickens, and teddy bears. When the time rolled around, you could find her canning and making delicious preserves.

She is survived by her husband, Buddy of the home; by three children, Melissa Keesee and her husband David of Malvern; Lavelle Wilson and his wife Melinda of Hensley; and Pamela Wilson of Caddo Valley; one sister, Barbara Smith of Houston, Texas; six grandchildren, Mendi Palmer, Shanna Springer, Amanda Besancon, Kendall Thornton, Jared Keesee, and Zach Wilson; five great-grandchildren, Haylee Springer, Landon Springer, Carson Palmer, Hudson Palmer, and Alessia Besancon.

Mrs. Wilson was also preceded by twin brothers who died at birth.

Her funeral will be Thursday morning, April 16, 2009, at eleven o'clock in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home with Dr. Verne Wickliffe officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Bower Cemetery in Bismarck. Pallbearers will be: Zachary Wilson, Jared Keesee, Buddy Beck, Randy, Tommy Joe, and Kenny Pugh.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Loren Walker, Mark, David, and Tom Wilson, Scotty and Steven Tucker, Gary, Jimmy, and Glen Ray Wilson, and Lauren Smith.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary on Wednesday from five until seven o'clock. They will be headquartered at 543 Lambert Road in Bismarck.

Memorials may take the form of donations to the Oak Bower Cemetery Association.
