Louella "Lou" Cunningham Capistrano, age 84 of Malvern, died February 3, 2024 at UAMS in Little Rock.  She was born in Malvern on January 18, 1940 to the late Bruce Cunningham and Dorothy Nutt Cunningham.  Reared and educated in Malvern, she was a 1957 graduate of Malvern High School.  Lou's working life was varied: she worked for the telephone company for 10 years, for Safeway Stores for 12 years, and was a private caregiver for 20 years.  Lou was Baptist by denomination.

She was also preceded in death by two sons, James Briggle and Greg Briggle; and by three siblings, Reba Cunningham Ritchie, Marlos Cunningham Hitch, and James Cunningham.

Lou is survived by a sister, June Cunningham Clements of California; an uncle, James Franklin Cunningham, Jr. (Treva) of Malvern; and a niece, Andrea Hitch of Snohomish, Washington.
