Louella Overton, age 92 of Malvern, died Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Encore Healthcare and Rehab. She was born on July 3, 1926 in Rolla, Arkansas to the late Neal Rucker and Madge Kline Rucker. Reared and educated in Malvern, she was member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Louella married the love of her life, Harold Overton, on November 27, 1943. She was devoted to her husband and very proud of her family. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed playing cards, golfing, and floating the river. Louella was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her children, Sue Gardner (Thomas) of Tupelo, Mississippi, Betty Walker of Hot Springs, and Randy Overton (Crystal Cranford) of Malvern; seven grandchildren, Mark Overton, Westly Chaloupka, Brandi Patrick, Jennifer Overton, Sadie Gardner, Tommy Gardner, and Jacob Overton; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Louella was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold Overton, one son, Doyle Overton, four siblings, Clenouth Rucker, Clayton (Buck) Rucker, Mildred Jackson, and Vera Sulton; and one granddaughter, Margaret Gardner.

Her funeral will be held at two o'clock on Tuesday afternoon, January 29, 2019 in the sanctuary of Emmanuel Baptist Church with Brother Eli Maynard officiating and under the direction of J. A. Funk Funeral Home. A visitation at the church will precede the service by one hour, beginning at one o'clock. Private family graveside will follow in New Hope #1 Cemetery at Rolla.

Pallbearers will be: Mark Overton, John Oliver Albright, Larry Patrick, Carlton Burge, Kevin Rucker, and Brett Cheatham.
Honorary pallbearers are: David Chaloupka, Todd Cheatham, Raymond and Thurman Cheatham, Herman Overton, Sonny Burks, Tommy Overton, Tommy Gardner, and the Hand and Foot gang.
