Marcell Heinley, age 91, of Benbrook, Texas, and formerly of Malvern, died Sunday evening, September 25, 2016 in Ft. Worth. She was born on January 15, 1925 in Rolla, Arkansas to the late Arthur S. Williams and Emma Funk Williams. Reared and receiving her early education in Hot Spring County, she graduated from Lono High School. She later attended college at Monticello (UAM), Ouachita Baptist University, and received her degree from Henderson State Teacher's College in Arkadelphia. Marcell taught elementary school for 33 years, including Lono and Central schools. She was the widow of the late Elmer Heinley, to whom she was married on April 3, 1947. He preceded her in death in 2009. Marcell was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. She loved to sew, crochet, and work crossword puzzles. She was also a wonderful cook.

She is survived by a son, Rory Heinley of Malvern; a daughter with whom she lived, Amanda Vrbka and her husband, Dan, of Benbrook, Texas; two brothers, Bill and his wife, Elsie Williams, and A. J. Williams, all of Malvern; by eight grandchildren, Brant (Jacque), Brian (Day), Brad (Sonya), Brice (Brandy), and Brittney Heinley, Brianne Hall (Cory), Shawn Little (Rhonda), and Kimberly Edmonson (Matt); and by 22 great-grandchildren.

Marcell was also preceded in death by two brothers, Roy and Waymon Williams.

The family will receive friends at J. A. Funk Funeral Home on Tuesday evening, September 27, 2016 from six until eight o'clock.

Her funeral will be on Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock in the funeral home chapel with Brother Donis Smead officiating. Interment will follow in Harp Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.

Memorials are requested to Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
