Marcile Wright Owen, age 89 of Malvern, died Monday, October 16, 2017 at Encore Health and Rehab. She was born in Rolla, Arkansas on December 19, 1927 to the late Luther and Edna Armstrong. Reared and educated in Malvern, she had worked for a number of years as bookkeeper at Western Auto. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Owen was preceded in death by her husbands, Deane Wright, who died in 1960, and Marion T. "Bo" Owen, who died in 1998.

She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Wright Mabry of Houston, Texas; by two grandsons, Christopher Mabry and his wife, Brittny, also of Houston, and Tyler Mabry of Tyler, Texas; and a brother, Millard Armstrong of Malvern.

Her funeral will be at two o'clock Friday afternoon, October 20, 2017 in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home with David Bradbury leading the service. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: David Bradbury, Greg Mabry, Tyler Mabry, and Chris Mabry.
