Mary M. Lewis, age 89 of Malvern, died Thursday morning, May 13, 2010 in the Arbor Oaks Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Friendship, Arkansas on March 27, 1921 to the late Edward and Eve McMahan Sheehy. Mary was a homemaker and the widow of the late Amos Lewis, who preceded her in death in 2001. She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church of Malvern.

She is survived by her cousins, Teresa and her husband Noel Goolsby, Robert Alan Russell, and Hope Bell, all of Point Cedar; Shirley Taylor and James Taylor of Friendship, and Myrna Burg of California.

Mary was also preceded in death by a son, Dennis Ayers, and a brother, Hubert Sheehy.

Her funeral will be held in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home at two o'clock Wednesday afternoon, May 19, 2010 with Pastors Henry Thompson and Jon Buyer officiating.

Interment will follow in Gilchrist Cemetery at Friendship.

Honorary pallbearers will be Judy Westcott and Bonnie Williams.

A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
