Mary Sue Plummer, age 86 of Malvern, died Thursday evening, April 12, 2018 at Encore Healthcare and Rehab. She was born on August 23, 1931 in Malvern to the late Lewis E. Deere and Alma Fitzhugh Deere. Reared and educated here, she was a 1950 graduate of Malvern High School. Mrs. Plummer was a military wife, and, with her family, did three tours in Germany, and also lived in Ft. Riley, Kansas, Ft. Ord, California, and Ft. Hood, Texas. Upon their retirement from the military, they moved back to Malvern, and she worked for a number of years at B & C Shoe Store. She was a Baptist by denomination.

Her survivors include three daughters, Brenda Gonzales of San Antonio, Texas, Beverly McHenry of Lawrence, Kansas, and Bobbie Parker of Malvern; two sisters, Shirley Lambert of Malvern, and Jean Ann Williams of Washington; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Plummer was also preceded in death by a daughter, Becky Baghai; and two brothers, Donald Deere, and Bobby Deere; and by the father of her children, Thomas E. Plummer.

The family will receive friends at J. A. Funk Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon, April 15, 2018 from two until four o'clock.

Funeral services will be on Monday afternoon at two o'clock in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Rockport Memorial Gardens.
