Mayme Ross Shnaekel, age 62, of Malvern, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Hot Spring County Memorial Hospital. She was born May 10, 1951, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to the late Geneva and William H. Ross. Mayme loved family, laughter, and working in the yard. She was born into a large family, and later had a large family of her own. She was of Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and five siblings, Clara L. Teel, Betty Gindhart, Buddy Don Ross, Mary Bright, and William "Pete" Ross. Survivors include her husband of forty years, W. H. Shnaekel, three sons, Jay, Michael, and Chris Shnaekel; four step-sons, Bill, Wes, Lloyd, and Nick Shnaekel; four step-daughters, Kay Dalby, Teresa Lee, Susan Blankenship, and Annette Wilson; four brothers, Wade, John, Eddie, and George Ross; and three sisters, Lois Reavis, Leona Mooney, and Lena Jane Evans.

Mayme was blessed with 25 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

A memorial service for friends and family will be held on Monday, June 24, 2013, at two o'clock at J. A. Funk Funeral home in Malvern. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Arkansas Children's Hospital, or to Arbor Oaks Nursing Home.
