Obituary

Mildred Katherine Crowder, age 95, of Malvern, died Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Encore Healthcare. She was born on March 20, 1922 in Willow Springs, Missouri to the late Fred Range and Hattie Sarget Range. Reared and educated in Missouri, she had been a resident of Malvern since 1962. For 22 years she travelled the world with her husband while he was in the United States Air Force. They were the owners of Crowder's Grocery and Station in North Malvern for 30 years. Mrs. Crowder was a member of Keith Memorial United Methodist Church. She was the widow of the late Dale Crowder, to whom she was married on March 19, 1943 in Laurel, Mississippi. He preceded her in death in 2008.

She leaves behind two daughters, Rhonda Dortch and her husband David of Paragould, Arkansas, and Reatha Overton and her husband William of Malvern; by four grandchildren, Emily Morozoy, Ellen Goza, Keith Dortch, and Carrie Smart; and two great-grandchildren, Michael and Gabe Dortch.

Mrs. Crowder was also preceded in death by two sons, Russell and James Crowder, a brother, George Range, and a sister, Clara McCart.

A visitation will be on Saturday morning, March 3, 2018, from nine until ten o'clock in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home.

The funeral will begin at ten o'clock with Reverend Jeff Ladd officiating.

Graveside services will be at Adona Cemetery (Perry County) at one o'clock Saturday afternoon.
