Patsy Ann Brown, age 80 of Malvern, died Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at her home.  She was born in Memphis, Tennessee on November 24, 1940, to the late T. V. Gillespie and Evelyn McKinney Gillespie.  Patsy attended Ole Miss, and for many years worked as a clerk in the Clarksdale, Mississippi Water Department.  She also had been a substitute teacher for the North Little Rock School District and was a past member of the North Little Rock Junior Service League.  Patsy was more recently a homemaker, and an active member of First United Methodist Church in Malvern.

She is survived by her husband Charles Brown of Malvern, to whom she was married in January of 1968 in Clarksdale, Mississippi; by her daughter, Katie Montroy of Yellville, Arkansas; by two grandchildren, Andrew Portera of Massachusetts, and Patrick Portera of North Carolina; and by her son-in-law, Mark A. Portera of Roswell, Georgia.

Patsy was also preceded in death by her daughter, Kristine Portera.

A visitation will be held at J. A. Funk Funeral Home on Saturday morning, July 3, 2021, beginning at eleven o'clock, followed immediately by the funeral service at 12:00 noon.  Pastor Troy Conrad will officiate.  Interment will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be:  Mike Brown, Mark Brown, Roy Morrison, and  Johnny Boalts.
