Patsy Sue Bray, age 79 of Malvern, died Saturday, September 12, 2020 at her home. She was born on February 15, 1941 in Blytheville, Arkansas to the late Clayton Burrow and Eva May Sonders Burrow. Reared and receiving her early education in Walnut Ridge, she went on to graduate from Ouachita Baptist University with a double major in music and organ. Patsy later attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and graduated with a Master's degree in early childhood development. She taught school in West Plains, Missouri, Cherokee Village, Jonesboro, Bossier City, Louisiana, and finished her teaching career, retiring in 2003 after 28 years in the Malvern School District. While living in Bossier City, she worked at the church which she attended, helping with the children of fellow members. After her retirement, she taught music at Fields School. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Patsy was a prolific volunteer. She delivered Meals on Wheels, gave of her time at the local library, Libby's R. O. S. E., and played piano at Kiwanis, where she was also a member. After her retirement, and between volunteer gigs, Patsy was a local sales representative for Avon.
She is survived by her husband, Paul A. Bray, to whom she was married on October 14, 1995; by several cousins and many friends.
Patsy was also preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Burrow, and an infant sister, Beverly Burrow.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30pm Sunday afternoon, September 20, 2020 in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home with Brother Billy Bartlett officiating. Entombment will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
