Obituary

Paul Andreas Bray, age 74 of Malvern, died Thursday, February 10, 2022 at his home.  He was born in Malvern on November 28, 1947 to the late Austin "Tuck" Bray and Eleanor Andreas Bray.  Reared and receiving his early education in Malvern, he graduated from Henderson State University with a B. S. E.  He began working at an early age, and learned early on the benefits of doing well the job to which one is assigned.  While attending college, he worked for Clyde Vaughn Trucking, where, he says, Mr. Vaughn "taught him to be a man" and to act responsibly: there was the right way, the wrong way, and Mr. Vaughn's way!  Paul also worked for ACME Brick, and finally, for 42 years, he was a long-haul trucker, during which time, Paul said, he wore out seven trucks.  He was a faithful member and Deacon at First Baptist Church.  He knew the Bible and could quote scripture perfectly.  He loved to sing, especially hymns.  Paul was married to the love of his life, Patsy Burrow Bray, to whom he was wed on October 14, 1995.  She preceded him in death on September 12, 2020.

He is survived by his brother, Robert Bray and his wife, Becky of Crowley, Texas; a niece, Rhonda Grace of Monroe, Louisiana; his dear friend and caregiver, Faye Fenix; his three kitties, Prissy, Cooter, and Gigi; and by many friends, including his church family.

A service was held for Paul on Friday, February 11, 2022, in Oak Ridge Cemetery.  Paul's body now rests beside his beloved Patsy.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Family Life Center, 531 S. Main St. Malvern, AR  72104.
