Obituary

Pearlene Stiles Yeager, age 75 of Malvern, died Saturday, August 2, 2008 in the Hot Spring County Medical Center. She was born in Tulip, Arkansas on August 23, 1932 to the late Grover and Molly Ross Stiles. Reared and educated in Holly Springs, Sparkman, and Princeton, she had been a resident of Malvern since 1956. Pearlene was the widow of the late John Edward Yeager, Sr. to whom she was married on February 10, 1950 in Camden, Arkansas. He died in 1998. She worked at the Reynolds Cable Plant for 21 years, retiring in 1992 as a department service manager. Pearlene was a member of the Lono Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, babysitting, gardening, and canning.

She is survived by a son, John Yeager, Jr. and his wife Anna of Stuart, Florida; by a daughter, Nancy Yeager Richardson of Malvern; by three brothers, Grover Stiles, Jr. of Chidester, Arkansas, Phillip Stiles of Kewaskum, Wisconsin, and Eddie Stiles of Pearcy, Arkansas; by two sisters, Nancy Inez Finney of Malvern, and Opal Faye Harris of Chidester; by five grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

Pearlene was also preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene (Punk) Stiles, and Jody Stiles.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday morning, August 6, 2008, at ten o'clock in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home with Brother Roger Hall officiating. Interment will follow in Lono Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Joey and Jason Stiles, Mark Ledbetter, Ronald House, Jimmy Glenn Burks, and Danny Draper.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary on Tuesday evening from six until eight o'clock.
