Penny Wilson
Whitlock
Dec 26, 1963 — Apr 5, 2023
Malvern
Penny Lea Wilson Whitlock, age 59 of Malvern, died Wednesday, April 5, 2023, as the result of an automobile accident. She was born in Malvern on December 26, 1963, to the late William Wilson and Patsy Ruth Simpson Wilson. Reared and educated in Poyen, Penny had worked in the Glen Rose School cafeteria for many years. She was the widow of the late Greg Whitlock, to whom she was married on August 16, 2004. He preceded her in death on May 14, 2011. Penny was very creative and poetic. She loved to joke around and make people laugh. You would always see her with a big smile, and you wondered what mischief was going on behind those sparkling eyes. She loved her family and friends and would defend them to the end. A big hole is figuratively left in all our hearts at her passing.
She leaves behind her two daughters, Miranda Cluck of Gifford and Michelle Hylton of Arlington, Washington; six grandsons, Gary Ray, III, Stephen Ray, Jason Ray, Keyondre McAdoo, Kyle Amos, and Ethan Tudor; one granddaughter, Arianna Leffert; two sisters, Linda Wilson Richard of Poyen, and Candie Wilson Jewett of Little Rock; by a brother, Kenneth Wilson of Malvern; and by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from six until eight o'clock Monday evening, April 10, 2023, at J. A. Funk Funeral Home. A memorial service will be on Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock in the funeral home chapel with Sister Barbara Calhoun officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Ray, III, Stephen Ray, Jason Ray, Jackie Calhoun, Charlie DuVall, Marty Hill, and the ladies of Glen Rose School cafeteria.
