Phyllis Jo Hill, age 84 of Malvern, died Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Encore Healthcare and Rehab.  She was born in Malvern on June 28, 1939 to the late Sanford Hill and Jenny V. Howell Hill.  She was a 1957 graduate of Malvern High School, and later received her bachelor's degree in music from Henderson State University in 1974.  Phyllis taught private piano and voice lessons.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Malvern.

She is survived by her sister, Dianne Hill Hughes of Malvern; niece, Jennifer Thompson (Mike); nephew, Bill Hughes (Lyn); numerous great and great-great-nieces, nephews and cousins; and her Encore family.

Her funeral service will be at two o'clock Saturday afternoon, December 2, 2023, in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home with Dr. J. Earl Coker officiating.  Private interment will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
