Ralph Charles Barnhart, age 89 of Malvern, died Monday, June 21, 2021, in Hot Springs.  He was born on February 18, 1932, in Athens, Ohio to the late Ralph Schall and Florence Coleman.  Reared and educated in Ohio, he had been a resident of this area for over 50 years.  A veteran of the United States Army, Ralph was a Christian, a Jack-of-all-trades, and had worked many years in the construction industry.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sue Lofton Barnhart of Malvern; four daughters, Vicki Shovan and Lois Guess of Malvern; Jenny Barnhart of Visalia, California, and Kathy Brackett of Freemont, California; by three sons, Otis Barnhart of Malvern, Charles Barnhart of Farmersville, California, and Steve Barnhart of Goshen, California; a sister, Linda, of Ohio; 42 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Ralph was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Sanders, a son, Tommy Denton; three brothers and five sisters; and by one grandchild Joey Robinson.

A memorial service will be held at one o'clock Thursday afternoon, July 1, 2021, in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home with David Abbott officiating.
