Times New Roman", Times, serif">Ramona Willette Davis, age 81 of Malvern, died Saturday night, August 1, 2009 in the Malvern Nursing Home. She was born in Fort Worth , Texas on July 3, 1928 to the late Willie (Doc) and Mary Frances Elizabeth Kerr Linville. Reared and educated in Fort Worth , she had been a longtime resident of Marshall , Texas prior to moving to Malvern in 2006. As a young woman, she sang in a band with her sister and other family members, before starting her own family. She was the widow of the late Raymond E. Davis, to whom she was married on April 2, 1955. He preceded her in death on November 29, 1999. Most of her adult life was devoted to being a homemaker, but for about 15 years, she was a Tri-Chem instructor in Marshall . In her spare time, she enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles.

Times New Roman", Times, serif">She is survived by her children, Jack Murph and his wife, Cheri of Woodlands, Texas, Duane Murph of Marshall, Texas, Galen Davis and his wife, Flo of Pollok, Texas, and Marla Stewart of Malvern, Arkansas; by a brother, Ronald Linville and his wife Pauline, and a sister, Lunelle Harber and her husband Reese, all of Marshall, Texas; by her grandchildren, Wesley Murph, Mandy Rolie, Jennifer Murph, Blake Davis and wife Christina, Bradley Davis, and Camron Stewart; and by three great-grandchildren.
Times New Roman", Times, serif">Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at ten o'clock in the chapel of Sullivan-Heaster Funeral Home in Marshall , Texas . Times New Roman", Times, serif">Interment will follow in Colonial Gardens Cemetery .

Times New Roman", Times, serif">The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from six until eight o'clock.
Times New Roman", Times, serif">Local arrangements were entrusted to J. A. Funk Funeral Home of Malvern, Arkansas .
