Obituary

Ramona Pierce Draper, age 62 of Poyen, died Sunday, February 14, 2016 in Hot Springs. She was born in Poyen, Arkansas on June 6, 1953 to the former Loretta Rhodes and the late Conrad Pierce. Reared and educated in Poyen, she was the wife of Harry Draper, to whom she was married on June 2, 1972 in Malvern. Ramona was a Christian. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She loved growing flowers and working in her rock garden. Ramona loved her friends and they knew it. Part of her working life was spent as a mail carrier, and she had also worked for the late Herb Griffin.

She is survived by Harry, her husband of nearly 44 years; by her son David and his wife Bonnie Draper of Poyen, her mother, Loretta Collins; five grandchildren, Chase Gordon, Krysta Ford (A. J), Mercy Draper, Pierce Davis Draper, and Kelsey Denham; four half-sisters, Jaylah, Janet, Robin, and Pam.

A visitation will be held at one o'clock Thursday afternoon, February 18, 2016 in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home, with the memorial service beginning at two o'clock, officiated by Brother Todd Bray.

Honorary pallbearers are: Chase Gordon, A. J. Ford, Krysta Ford, Pierce Draper, and Mercy Draper.

Memorials are requested to Arkansas Children's Hospital.

The family will be at 403 West Fourth Street in Poyen.
