Raymond Paul Holloway, age 86 of Hot Springs, died Friday, February 23, 2024 in the National Park Medical Center.  He was born on march 21, 1937 in Curtis, Arkansas to the late Raymond P. Holloway and Mary Pauline Wheatley Holloway.  Ray graduated Malvern High School with the class of 1955. His working career was varied: he worked for the Bechtel Company at the Nevada Test Site; was a mine foreman for Western Nuclear; spent time as a Shift Boss for Kerr-McGee; and was a driver for Acme Brick. Ray was a member of first Baptist Church, Sequim, Washington.  He loved wood working, fishing, motorcycle riding, and doted on his cat, Mr. Mac.  Ray was an avid NASCAR fan, particularly driver Dale Earnhardt. Ray was the widower of the late Joyce Adkins Holloway, to whom he was married in 1978.

His survivors include: his children, Paulette Holloway Hathcock and her husband, Buddy of Malvern; Daniel Ray Holloway of Hot Springs, and Jordan Rae Shuffield (Ricky) of Oklahoma City; step-children, Albert "Bud" Betchie (Barbara) of Helena, Montana, and Denise Webb (Jerry) of Sequim, Washington; grandchildren, Brandon Green (Mandy), Brittani Brooks (Jeremy), Lynzie Norwood (Bryce), Kyle Holloway, Brandy Holloway, Stephen Burks, BreeAnn Franks, and Christopher Shuffield; numerous grand and great-grandchildren, and step-grand and great-grandchildren; and by the mother of his children, Patricia Bailey Isom.

Ray was also preceded in death by two sons, Dennis Lee Holloway and David Paul Holloway, and by three siblings, Martha Lou Phillips, Billy Jim Holloway, and Marylene Digby.

A memorial celebration of Ray's life will be Friday, March 1, 2024, at ten o'clock, in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home, with visitation following the service.

The family requests no flowers.  Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
