Reverend Wayne Moore, age 71, of Hot Springs, died February 8, 2025 at his home surrounded by his beloved family.  He was born in Malvern on July 3, 1953 to the late James Edward Moore and Lula Izora Denson Moore.  Reared and educated in Malvern, he had been a minister of the Gospel for 45 years, his last congregation being Soul's Anchor Pentecostal Church in Bigelow, Arkansas.  Brother Wayne knew the Bible, and wanted everyone to whom he preached, to hear God's Word through him.  He not only quoted scripture, he lived it.  Brother Wayne was a friend, councellor, and comforter.  He was the husband of Lisa Benson Moore, to whom he was married on February 14, 2014.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa; his sons, Michael Moore (Tammy Fisher) of Hot Springs Village, David Moore (Crystal), and Steven Moore (Melissa), all of Hot Springs; nephew, Freddy "Sonny Boy" Ross; stepchildren: Patsy, Debbie, Linda, Dora, Daisy, and Christopher; 38 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren, the mother of his sons, Darlene Hanner; and a host of cousins and friends.

Wayne was also preceded in death by his brother, Brother Calvin Moore; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia Moore Ross and Gerald Ross; daughter-in-law, Teresa Moore; step-son, Clarence Patterson; and wife, Jessie Mae Dennis Moore.

A visitation will be held on Friday evening, February 14, 2025, from 5:30 until 7:00 at J. A. Funk Funeral Home.

His funeral will be 2:00 Saturday afternoon, February 15, 2025, at New Hope Baptist Church, 1202 West Sullenberger Avenue in Malvern, with Brother Willie Jones, Brother Jimbo Taylor, and Sister Jean Zuppo officiating.  Interment will follow in Big Creek Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jerimy Hudgins, Jeremy Wiley, Easton Hudgins, Marshall Deane Johnson, J. D. Johnson, and Freddy Ross.

Honorary pallbearers are the Minister's Conference, Austin McAbee, Johnny Campo, Christopher Connolley, and Justin Wiley.
