Rhonda Joyce Overton, age 61, of Malvern, died unexpectedly on Saturday, August 12, 2023, in Hot Springs.  She was born on April 18, 1962, in Naples, Italy to Herman Don Overton and Joyce Pierson Overton.  Being a child of the military, she saw and experienced many different cultures.  Settling in Malvern in 1975 with her parents, she finished her early education in the Malvern School District.  Rhonda was a Baptist by denomination. She had worked as a manager in the food service industry for a number of years.  Rhonda reared two fine sons, of whom she was very proud.  She was a loving and faithful daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

She is survived by her son, Caleb Deimel (Stacy) and Cameron Deimel (Brandi); her father, Herman Overton; her brother, Roy Overton; her grandchildren, Connor Deimel, Everly Deimel, and Rowyn Deimel; her nieces, Ashley and Kayla Overton, and many friends.

Rhonda was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Mildred Overton, and four siblings, Van, Robert, Donald, and Tangra Overton.

Her funeral will be held at two o'clock Wednesday afternoon, August 16, 2023, in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home with Kevin Hunt officiating.  Interment will follow in Lono Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Justin Arnold, Daniel McKim, Dale Ray Riggan, Don Holmes, McKenzie Davidson, and Dan Blaire

Honorary pallbearers are: Tom Overton, Raymond Holloway, Randy Overton, Ashley Overton, Kayla Overton, Roy Overton, and Don Blaire..

A visitation will precede the service on Wednesday, beginning at one o'clock.
