Richard William Teel, age 73 of Malvern, died Monday, May 25, 2026 at Arbor Oaks Healthcare and Rehab.  He was born on August 24, 1952 in New Mexico to the late O. C. Teel and Eva Ellen Watkins Teel.  Reared and educated in Poyen, for many years he worked for Anthony Timberlands.

 Mr. Teel was a Presbyterian by denomination, and was a veteran of the United States Air Force.  An avid hunter and motorcycle enthusiast, he had been a member of the 240 Hunting Club.  He was the widower of the late Darla Holmes Teel, to whom he was married on April 6, 1979 in Malvern.  She preceded him in death on August 15, 2003.  He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Amanda Teel, and a brother, Ricky Teel.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Josh and Cori Teel of Donaldson; by a brother and sister-in-law, David and Sheila Teel of Malvern; and by three grandchildren that he doted upon, Preslee, Max, and Greyson.

His funeral will be held on Friday morning, May 29, 2026, at 10:00 in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in Lindsey-Poyen Cemetery.
