Richard David "Rick" Zimmerman, age 71 of Springfield, Missouri, died Saturday, May 28, 2022, at his home.  He was born on November 23, 1950, in Florence, Alabama to the late Frank S. Zimmerman, Jr. and Frances Coons Zimmerman.  Reared and receiving his early education in Alabama, he moved to Malvern with his family in 1966 and graduated from Malvern High School in 1969.  Rick received his bachelor's degree in business from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.  He was a salesperson for ACME Brick where he received many accolades for his work, most notably, the distinguished Presidential Award for service to the company.  Rick was the husband of the former Deborah Haynie to whom he was married on July 29, 1977.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah Zimmerman of Springfield; three daughters, Kimberly Maddox and her husband, Ryan of Ozark, Missouri, Kellie Stauffer and her husband David of Kansas City, Kansas, and Kristie Zimmerman, also of Kansas City; his sister, Margaret Zimmerman Braun and her husband, Bob, of Pottstown, Pennsylvania; six grandchildren, Reagan Wren (David), Lucas Maddox (fiancée Rachel), Preston Maddox, Henry John Stauffer, Charlie David Stauffer, and Lillian Elaine Stauffer; uncle and aunt, Jimmy and Jacque Coons of Wesson, Mississippi; brother- and sister-in-law, Dan and Sandra Baldwin of Atlanta, Georgia; niece, Allison (Tim) Crawford of Atlanta; nephews, Drew Baldwin (Virginia) of New York, and Jared Zimmerman Barnhard (Jessica) of Bennington, New Hampshire; and great-nieces and -nephews, Kingsley Crawford, Anna-Leigh Margaret Barnhard, Knox Crawford, and Benjamin Francis Barnhard.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on June 23 ^rd , 2022, at James River Church, Ozark, Missouri.
