Rosemary Griffin, age 85 of Malvern, died Tuesday evening, August 21, 2012, at her home. She was born in Perla , Arkansas on July 20, 1927 to the late Andrew Byrd and Ida Wallace Byrd. Reared and receiving her early education in Malvern, she was a Licensed Practical Nurse for over 20 years, and also was a private duty nurse. Rosemary was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, (DAR), and the United Daughters of the Confederacy (UDC). She was a member of First Baptist Church , attended the Faith Sunday School Class, and was a former church missionary. Rosemary was a doting mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and antiquing. Rosemary was the widow of the late Herbert Griffin who preceded her in death in 2005.

Survivors include her two sons, Mike and his wife Patti Griffin, and Greg Griffin, all of Hot Springs ; a grandson, Grae and his wife Amy Griffin of Katy , Texas ; and two great-grandchildren, Collison and Cooper Griffin.She was also preceded in death by a sister, Opal Taylor, and two brothers, Warren Byrd and Alvin Byrd.

Her funeral will be at ten o'clock Friday morning, August 24, 2012 in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home with Brother Tyler Thompson officiating.

Interment will follow the service in Rockport Memorial Gardens .

Pallbearers will be her nephews.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of her Sunday School class.

Visitation at the funeral home will be on Thursday evening from six until eight o'clock.
