Ruth June Davis-McNamar Rapp, age 95, of Malvern, Arkansas, died Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Arbor Oaks Healthcare and Rehab. She was born on June 25, 1920 in Pond Creek, Oklahoma to the late Paul Davis and Flossie Schoonover Davis. Reared and receiving her education in Pond Creek she graduated with the class of 1938. She worked at Wakita (Oklahoma) School for 18 years, and was a member of Wakita United Methodist Church. June loved to grow flowers, especially roses. She was an amazing cook, and took up playing golf at the age of 74. Her favorite TV channel was ESPN. For a number of years, she volunteered teaching English as a second language to Spanish students.

Two husbands preceded her in death: Frank McNamar in 1985, to whom she was married in 1940; and Ray Rapp in 2005, to whom she was married in 1993. She was also preceded in death by a son, Gary McNamar, and a brother, Swede Davis.

She is survived by her son, Ron McNamar of Malvern; three grandchildren, Amber Briner, Darcy Parish (Cody), and Shannon McNamar (Jena); five great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Brielle, Emerly, Kyla, and Josie; a sister-in-law, Jakie Davis of Enid, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be Saturday morning, June 11, 2016 at ten o'clock, in the sanctuary of Wakita United Methodist Church, Wakita, Oklahoma, with interment following in the Wakita Cemetery, under the direction of Prairie Rose Funeral Home of Anthony, Kansas.
