Sadie Lee Vaughn, age 77 of Malvern, died Thursday, August 10, 2017 in Hot Springs. She was born on June 1, 1940 in Manning, Arkansas to Christine Burks Carter and the late Lucan Carter. Reared and educated in Dallas County, she was a nursing assistant/care giver. After living in New York for many years, Sadie had been a resident of Malvern for 15 years.

She is survived by her mother, Christine Broomfield Carson of Malvern; her daughter, Dorene Bailey of Hot Springs; two brothers, Louis Broomfield and James Broomfield (Courtrina), of Malvern; three sisters, Annie M. Luster of Malvern, Doris Jean Broomfield of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Janice M. Kelly of Malvern; two grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Sadie was also preceded in death by two sisters, Sharon and Alice; a brother, Robert Carter; and two grandchildren, Margo and Yolanda.

A memorial service will be held at three o'clock Monday afternoon, August 14, 2017 in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home.
