Sandra Norwood McGriff, age 65 of Malvern, died Thursday, April 28, 2022, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock.  She was born in Malvern on December 14, 1956, to Mary Louise Davidson Norwood and the late Howard Norwood.  Reared and receiving her early education in the Ouachita School District, she later graduated from Henderson State University with a B.S.E.  Sandra taught in the Malvern Public Schools until her retirement.  She was a Baptist.

She is survived by her children, Leslie McGriff Cowan of Malvern, and Lance McGriff of Bismarck; her mother, Louise Norwood of Donaldson; her sister, Gail Lynn DeSpain and her husband, Richard, of North Little Rock; by two grandchildren, Molly Elizabeth Cowan and Aaron Gabriel Cowan; and by one great-grandchild on the way.

Sandra was also preceded in death by the father of her children, David McGriff.

A visitation will be held at J. A. Funk Funeral Home on Tuesday evening, May 3, 2022, from five until seven o'clock.

Graveside services will be at two o'clock Wednesday afternoon, May 4, 2022, in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Donaldson, with Brother Rickey Poynor officiating.

The family will be headquartered at 5189 Hwy 51 in Donaldson.
