Sible Baker, age 98 of Antioch, died Friday, January 10, 2025 at her home.  She was born in Mountain Valley, Arkansas on March 3, 1926 to the late William Harvey Williams and Brunett Coker Williams.  Reared and receiving her early education in Hot Spring County, she later attended Arkadelphia Beauty School.  For many years, she had a beauty shop in her home, and also worked at Stillmeadow Nursing Home as a hairdresser for 12 years.  Sible was a cook at Social Hill Elementary Shool and also cooked for Lakeside Nursing Home in Hot Springs.  She raised cattle, farmed, and always had a bountiful garden that she loved to work every year.  For many years, she was the overseer of Social Hill Cemetery, keeping meticulous records and making sure everyone was placed in the right spot!  She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Sible maintained her independence until almost the very end and enjoyed the life with which she was blessed.  Sible was the widow of the late Roy Irwin Baker, to whom she was married on December 22, 1946 in Social Hill.  He preceded her in death in 2001.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Baker Cook.

Her survivors include her daughter, Sharion Baker Lemons; grandsons, Jimmy Lemons (Diana Harrist) and Ray Cook; granddaughters, Sheryl Lemons Welch and Melissa Lemons O'Roark (Jason); great-grandchildren, Bodon Lemons (Randi), Dakota and Kaleb Harrison, Bobby Cohen, Robert Snow (Tori), and Katelyn Cohen Collins (John); great-great-grandchildren, Audrey Brown, Karliegh Brown, Timber Young Collins, Brylynn Kate Collins, Cooper Collins, and Vada and Rowin Snow.

Visitation will be on Friday evening, January 17, 2025, from five until seven o'clock, at J. A. Funk Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 Saturday morning, January 18, 2025, in Upper Antioch Cemetery with Brother Bruce Gilmore officiating.
