Suzanne Shetler Schneider age 86 of Malvern, Arkansas, moved to her heavenly home Sunday evening, February 13, 2022. She was born to the late Alvin and Dorothy Hess Shetler in Janesville, Wisconsin. She received her early education in Janesville. She is the widow of the late Gene D. Schneider, to whom she was married for 50 years. She moved to Arkansas with her husband and raised her family in central Arkansas. She was a talented seamstress making many of her children's clothes. She worked in the food service industry in as manager of a school cafeteria and later in a bakery. She had a passion for fishing, knitting, and working jig-saw puzzles. Her love of animals, especially dogs, will continue through her family.
She is preceded in death by a grandson, James Lawrence of Conway, Arkansas; a granddaughter, Debra Lee Byrd, of Malvern, a great granddaughter, Kaya Schneider of Conway, Arkansas, and by three sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by her children, Elizabeth and her husband Fred W. Byrd, Jr. of Malvern; Jeanine and her husband James Wheeler of England, Arkansas; and Frank and his wife Mary Schneider of Conway; her grandchildren, John T. Lawrence , Jessica Lawrence, and Phillip Goldie of Little Rock, Misty Woodall, Scott Schneider, and Matt Schneider, Ryan Woodall, and Katie Woodall of Conway; Tabitha Byrd, and Anya Byrd of Malvern, and Fred W. Byrd, III, of Hot Springs; her great grandchildren, Katie Harmon of Russellville, Aaron Floyd of Damascus, Jacie Elliott and Michelle Elliott of Sheridan, Summer Goldie of Little Rock, Gavin Byrd, Idelea Byrd, and Timothy Goyen of Malvern; Haley, Mykala, and Nova Schneider, all of Conway; her great-great grandson Grayson Demonte of Russellville, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be at J.A. Funk Funeral Home on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at two o'clock in the afternoon.
