Thomas Hubbard "Squeaky" Gray, Jr., age 90 of Malvern, died Sunday, May 29, 2016 at Arbor Oaks. He was born on February 9, 1926 in Malvern to the late Thomas H. Gray, Sr. and Ona Pilgreen Gray. Reared and receiving his education in Malvern, he joined the United States Navy during World War 2 and served as Carpenters Mate 2nd Class. Squeaky ran the Malvern roller skating rink beginning in the early 60's and worked for a number of years for Wayne Neighbors Construction. He was a pilot and loved flying airplanes. Squeaky enjoyed gardening, especially growing tomatoes.
He was the widower of the late Mary Elizabeth Lemons Gray, to whom he was married on April 30, 1954 at the home of Brother Steve Thomas. She preceded him in death in December of 2012.
Squeaky is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Elmer, Otis, and Thelton Gray.
His funeral will be held at ten o'clock Wednesday morning, June 1, 2016 in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home with Brother Paul Grigsby officiating. Interment will follow in Round Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Richard Gray, Herbert Gray, Shane Tiernan, Adam Tiernan, Jimmy Homan, Dalton Homan, and Jimmy Voss.
