Obituary

Treva Lou Cotton, age 77, of Malvern, died Friday, September 5, 2014 in the Malvern Hospital. She was born in Hattieville, Arkansas on September 16, 1936 to the late John Reynolds and Hazel Clemons Reynolds. Reared and educated in Hattieville and Malvern, she had lived here since 1947. Treva worked for Universal Ball and Bearing for 25 years as an inspector and packer. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She was the widow of the late Homer Eugene Cotton, Jr., to whom she was married on December 24, 1953. He preceded her in death in January of 2001.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Cotton Brooks, of Malvern; by her brother, Wayne Reynolds and his wife, Rita, of Malvern; by three grandchildren, Adam Cotton (Samantha), Michael Cotton, and Andrew Brooks; and by two great-grandchildren, Skyler Vest and Scotty Vest.

Treva was also preceded in death by her son, Phillip Cotton.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from six until eight o'clock.

Her funeral will be at two o'clock Tuesday afternoon, September 9, 2014 in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home with Brother John Owen officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery

Pallbearers will be: Adam Cotton, Michael Cotton, Andrew Brooks, Bryan Loy, Don Collins, Harold Nix, and Chris Elliott.
