Vallerie Renay Ahart, 61, of Malvern, Arkansas, passed away on August 12, 2025. She was born on January 16, 1964, in Benton, Arkansas, to the late Carolyn Dunn-Sepulvado and Bill Dunn, and was lovingly raised by her stepfather, the late Pat Sepulvado. Vallerie shared a deep and special bond with her mother, Carolyn, whose love and guidance shaped so much of her life.

Vallerie earned her bachelor's degree in nursing and excelled in her field with dedication and compassion, touching countless lives through her work. Her career was cut short by the emergence of mental and physical health challenges, but her love, care, and resilience remained constant.

She was a devoted single mother to her daughter, Mackenzie, and a proud grandmother to three cherished granddaughters: Addison Jade, Charlotte Blake, and Willow Kate. Vallerie is also survived by her brother, Tony Dunn, and Tony's many grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Otis and Mildred Shaw, along with her parents and stepfather.

Vallerie's family includes her dear aunt, Linda Humes—who held a special place in her life—and Linda's children: Kacee Humes-Wells and her husband, Justin Wells, along with their daughter, Kaselee Shaw Wells; and Jase Humes and his wife, Amber. She spent her days with her fur-babies, Molly & Maya, close by her side.

Vallerie had a zest for life that could light up any room. She loved digging for fossils, tending to her garden, casting a fishing line, and camping under the open sky. Before her health began to slow her pace, she delighted in long walks and could often be found on the dance floor, where she especially shined at line dancing.

Her bold, vivacious personality was as unmistakable as her bright blonde hair, which seemed to enter the room a moment before she did. Vallerie's quirky charm often showed through in her love of bold, colorful clothing and her passion for thrift shopping—especially during outings shared with her daughter. She lived with curiosity, humor, and a spirit that made her unforgettable to everyone who crossed her path.

Valerie's story does not end with her passing, for the love she gave continues to grow in the lives she touched. Like the flowers she nurtured and the dances she cherished, her spirit moves with grace and color through the memories of those who loved her. Though she has gone from sight, her light remains—bold, bright, and eternal.

Vallerie's funeral service will be at 2:00 Thursday afternoon, August 21, 2025, in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in Rockport Memorial Gardens.
