Van Alan Manning, age 54 of Malvern, died Monday, March 15, 2021 in Hot Springs.  He was born on January 11, 1967 in Malvern to the late Auvergene Manning, Sr. and Orlene Sharp Manning. Reared and educated in Malvern, he completed his studies in nursing at what is now Arkansas State University Three Rivers.  Van worked at Arkansas Health Center for 24 years.  He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Malvern.  He loved music, watching horror movies, hunting for antiques, and spending time with his family and friends.

Van is survived by his daughter, Devin Bakarich of Benton, his sister, Jackie Williams of Malvern, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Auvergene Manning, Jr., and Jerry Manning.

His funeral service will be held at eleven o'clock Friday morning, March 19, 2021 in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home with Reverend Courtney Bacon-Latina officiating.  A visistation will precede the service, beginning at ten o'clock.  Interment will be at Harp Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Josh Walker, Mack Bobo, Demitre Bobo, Keith Williams, Justin Williams, and Brandon Williams.
