Obituary

Verna L. Schneider, age 73 of Malvern, died Friday morning, August 31, 2007 at her home. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri on March 3, 1934 to the late George and Bessie Galloway Harmon. Reared and educated in Kansas City, she had been a resident of Malvern since 1959. She was the wife of Arthur Schneider, to whom she was married on October 6, 1952 in Kansas City. Verna was one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was a homemaker and loved to collect doilies and knick-knacks.

She is survived by her husband, Arthur; by two daughters, Iona Dye of Hot Springs and Susan Dugan of Malvern; by a son, Norman A. Schneider of Mississippi; by a sister, Orami Coleman of Redding, California; by six grandchildren: Sandra Pierce, Brandon Dugan, Daniel Dugan, Jimmy Boyles, Johnny Boyles, and Sean Boyles; by four great-grandchildren: Austin and Aiden Pierce, and Chloe and Lillith Boyles.

Mrs. Schneider was also preceded in death by a brother, a sister, a grandson, and a great-granddaughter.

Her memorial service will be held at two o'clock on Monday afternoon, September 3, 2007 in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses with Elder Buddy Moore officiating.

The family will receive friends at the J. A. Funk Funeral Home on Sunday evening, September 2, 2007 from seven until nine o'clock.
