It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved ViAnna "Anna" Belle Efird Reynolds, the matriarch of the Reynolds family.  She passed away at the age of 89 on September 11, 2024.  She was born on January 6, 1935, to the late Dealus and Jewel Bradford Efird, in an old house in the Midway Bottoms.  Anna was a devoted mother and grandmother, and was a woman of deep loyalty, fierce love, and quiet strength.  She was a woman of the country through and through.  Raised with traditional values, she carried the lessons of hard work, humility, and compassion with her throughout her life.  Whether tending to her garden, sewing intricate quilts, making wine, or working tirelessly to provide for her family, she embodied the spirit of resilience and dedication that defined her generation.  She was the widow of the late Earnest "Buck" Reynolds, to whom she was married on December 12, 1952.  He preceded her in death on June 1, 2013.

Family was the cornerstone of Anna's life.  Her loyalty to her family, especially her four beloved sons, was unshakeable.  She took pride in being the heart of the family and her presence will be deeply missed by all who were close to her.  Though she lived a simple life, it was full of abundance and meaning.  Her quiet and strong-willed wisdom offered comfort during times of need.  To know her was to be touched by her unwavering love and commitment.

Anna is survived by her sons, DeRay, Jack, Joel, and Vance (Nicole); her grandchildren, Lesley, Jennifer (Matt), Rachel, Shawna (Jesse), Niles (Mandy), Nicole, Jared, Lacy, Ashley, Cody (Kristalin), and Cristian; great-grandchildren, Ethan (Gracie), Keith, Lissy (Quinten), Bliss, Ella, Jordan, Kiya, Tristin, Alex, Ryllee, Lucas, Nicholas, Syluss, Arlo, Theori, Valyn, Amarynn, Korbin, Halston, and Arliss.

She was also preceded in death by grandsons, Devan Wade Reynolds and Keegan Amos.

Anna left behind a legacy—her wisdom, strength, and loving memory will live on in the hearts and minds of her family and friends who will forever cherish the lessons she taught and the love she gave.

A service celebrating her life will be held at two o'clock Monday afternoon, September 16, 2024 in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in Lower Antioch Cemetery.

Visitation will be from five until seven o'clock Sunday evening, September 15, 2024 at the funeral home.
