Obituary

Wanda Joy Siratt Gore, age 90, of Malvern, died early Saturday morning, October 23, 2021 at Encore Healthcare and Rehab.  She was born on March 3, 1931 in Lono to the late Jesse Stone and Lelah Rucker Stone.  Reared and receiving her education  in Hot Spring County, she was a homemaker and member of L'eau Fraiz Methodist Church.  After her children were grown, Joy drove a school bus for a number of years.  She had been very active in #574 Chapter, Star of Bethlehem Lodge in Lono, Arkansas.  Joy was the widow of the late Everett F. Siratt, to whom she was married for 44 years. He preceded her in death in 1992.  Her second husband, Garland P. Gore, to whom she was married for 12 years, preceded her in death in 2005.  Joy was a loving mother to three children: Roger Franklin Siratt, Beverly Siratt Gray, and Sandra Siratt Heinley.

She is survived by her daughters, Beverly Gray (John), and Sandra Heinley, all of Malvern; daughter-in-law, Sallie Siratt of Wake Village, Texas; 10 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 1great-great-grandchild; three sisters, Valarie Wiley (Orlen), Diane Carver (John), all of Malvern, and Carolyn Morris (Joe) of Wichita, Kansas; sisters-in-law, Sadie Stone of New Jersey, and Donna Stone of Texas; brother-in-law, Gwinn Sampson of Ft. Smith; and by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Joy was also preceded in death by her son, Roger Siratt; brothers, Wayne Stone, Billy Ed Stone, Jesse P. Stone, Jr., and Darrell E. "Karo" Stone; and a sister, Jo Sampson.

Visitation will be from five until seven o'clock Monday evening, October 25, 2021 at J. A. Funk Funeral Home.

Graveside service will be Tuesday afternoon, October 26, 2021, at two o'clock, in the Lono Cemetery with Brother Ron Parrish officiating.

Pallbearers are Brad Heinley, Brian Heinley, Brice Heinley, and Brant Heinley, Jody Bennett, and Lane Bennett.

Honorary pallbearers are her great-grandsons.
