William Paul Goza, age 86 of Malvern, died Monday, March 16, 2020 at his residence.  He was born in Malvern on March 1, 1934 to the late Felix Dotson Goza, Sr., and Dixie Williams Goza.  Reared and receiving his early education in Central and Malvern, Paul was a 1952 graduate of Malvern High School.  Paul worked many years for the Baroid Corporation and Fafnir Bearings. He was the widower of the late Jimmie Sue Marsh Goza, to whom he was married on December 31,1952 in Little Rock. She preceded him in death in 1995.

Paul was a faithful and active member of Taylor's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.  He had a passion for small engine maintenance, repair, and restoration.  He contributed to his church and community by serving the Lord through meticulous upkeep of the churchyard and equipment maintenance.

Well-written and opinionated, Paul was a frequent contributor to Letters to the Editor sections of the Malvern Daily Record and Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. He curated historical and genealogical data, and contributed numerous articles to The Heritage of the Hot Spring County Historical Society.  He was a talented storyteller and enjoyed sending jokes and letters to his many friends.

He was also preceded in death by three siblings, F. D. Goza, Jr., Wilda Rhodes, and Wanda Potts.

Paul is survived by a son, John Marsh Goza; and by two grandchildren, Ellen Kay Goza of Savannah, Georgia; and Emily Grace Morozov and her husband, Yuriy of Little Rock; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be announced and held at a later date under the direction of J. A. Funk Funeral Home.
